The History of Electrolyzed Reduced Water

How is Kangen Water Produced?
Kangen Water replicates the qualities of these famous natural springs by means of the process of electrolysis. In the process of electrolysis some of the H2O molecules are broken down into their component parts. In this process hydroxide ions (OH-) are produced, as well as hydrogen ions (H+).
The two types of water are separated by a membrane in the electrolysis
chamber, the H2 and OH- ion imbued water being alkaline in nature, and a
strong antioxidant, and the O2 and H+ ion imbued water being acid in
nature and a strong oxidant.
What is the Difference Between Alkanized Water and Alkaline Water?
Alkaline water is produced by chemically altering the PH of the water by introducing minerals to the water. This water can interfere with the digestive process, and over time the cumulative effect of the added minerals in the water can produce unfavorable health consequences in the body.
Electrolyzed reduced water on the other hand is created by an electrical process, and while it is not recommended to drink this water within 30 minutes of a meal, it does not have any of the downsides of chemically produced alkaline water.
What Makes Kangen Water So Special?

Hydrogen rich water is also characterized by exhibiting an extremely low Oxygen Reduction Potential (ORP). A high ORP value to water identifies its cellular damaging potential. On the other hand, a low ORP indicates a high antioxidant quality to the substance, which as a result fosters cellular repair and healing from the free radical damage our bodies endure on a daily basis due to extracellular stresses.
Besides the benefits of the rich molecular hydrogen content in electrolyzed reduced water, the electrolysis process breaks up the typical clustering habits of H2O molecules, which are generally found in groups of 15-25, into groups of 5-7 molecules, the groupings of six being the most significant. These smaller clusters of water molecules have been shown to hydrate human cells 60% more effectively than non ERW. This means not only that our cells hydrate more effectively, but that the reduced size of the molecules allows for a more effective transport of nutrients to our cells, as well as a more efficient process of toxin removal.
Due to this micro-clustering nature of ERW, when ingested, the viscosity of our blood cells improves significantly, the result being that all of our organs are fed more rapidly with all the elements they need for healthy functioning.
Additionally, keeping in mind that the high 9.5 PH alkaline nature of ERW is 100 times more alkalinizing than typical tap water, this water serves as an extremely effective mechanism to help keep our bodies out of acidosis and into the higher PH state that diseases have a very difficult time surviving in. In this way ERW can be a significant contributor to the prevention or reversal of osteoporosis caused by the leaching of minerals from our bones due to an over acid environment.
